But what it brings is a breath of fresh air to the dried genre and it is game which contains interesting new gameplay mechanics and interactivity tools making it a diamond in the rough. Story is structured as a mixture of many noir-based film classics and has many famous cinema moments and mentions.. If you're a fan of point and click adventures then this is certainly worth a look, especially if you can get it on sale. I really like the artwork and the seedy ambience of the detective theme is perfect. The logic of the game is good, but there are a couple of times when you will probably need a walkthrough.It is a shame that the game didn't lead to a sequel as advertised, but this is very unlikely as it has been five years since its release.Thanks go to the developers for a very enjoyable game.. Great game, to idle for cards.. Interesting point & click. I couldn't get past the voice acting and animations. I'm normally a fan of point & click adventures, but those were too much to get over for me.. Its a so so game, does give you a dark and seedy feel Unfortunately it snafued on me about a 1/3 of the way through saying it could not find the game files and to re download it . I don't want to go to the effort of having to play through it again so likely won't bother. you get stuck alot and there are no good guides soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo..... the game is crap!. Film Noir inspired Adventure Game. Graphics are simple. Soundtrack is great, Voice Acting is good. The Interface is very primitive (tip: highlighting is F1). Writing is pretty good. Characters are ... interesting: lets just say that Characters are written to be "period appropriate". Puzzles aren't exactly self obvious (I guess that is a good thing) - and could be accused of "pixel hunt". This one is for Adventure Game veterans and Film Noir fans... Me, otherwise avoid.. I'll give it a tentative recommendation. Nice style and music and the story's ok, but it's boring - too much slow walking, back and forth to locations, and a strict order of operations to the puzzles lead to a lot of retreading and pointless clicking. All those factors make it needlessly long for the amount of story it covers. Fans of noir or old school point and click will like it but don't pay anything close to full price. Oh and the ending is a cliffhanger for the supposed sequel, so there's no payoff whatsoever for your long dull tread.
